What moving forward with Rooted & Radiant has taught me

The creation and continuation of Rooted & Radiant has been such a beautiful journey for me. I want to share just some of the things God has taught me through this experience and I hope that it’s an inspiration to you to pursue what God has put on your heart.

“And here is my judgment about what is best for you in this matter. Last year you were the first not only to give but also to have the desire to do so. Now finish the work, so that your eager willingness to do it may be matched by your completion of it, according to your means. For if the willingness is there, the gift is acceptable according to what one has, not according to what one does not have.” 2 Corinthians 8:10-12 (NIV)

It is to your advantage not only to continue what you began and were desiring to do, but to complete it. This completion will come out of what you have and what God provides. For if there is first a willing mind, it is accepted according to what you have, not according to what you don’t have.

Sometimes when God calls us to do something, it’s tempting to wait to move forward with it until we can see how all of the pieces will come together. However, God calls us to trust Him.

Move ahead with what you have and trust God to supply what you don’t have.

Another thing He has taught me through this process is that His commands are radiant—giving light to the eyes.

“Let your roots grow down into Him, and let your lives be built on Him. Then your faith will grow strong in the truth you were taught, and you will overflow with thankfulness.” Colossians 2:7 (NLT)

As you have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him.

  • Rooted and built up in Him

  • Established in the faith

  • Abounding in faith with thanksgiving

“The one who calls you is faithful, and He will do it.” 1 Thessalonians 5:24 (NIV)
