“…Let your roots grow down into him, and let your lives be built on him. Then your faith will grow strong in the truth you were taught…”

A deeply rooted tree is not easily toppled.

Wind may come and rain may pound—branches may be torn off. It may be painful. But if the roots run deep, if the tree is grounded, then it will withstand any storm.

I am transparent about the great struggles I have walked through. I do not have all the answers. Far from it! I am not the perfect Christian wife and mother. But my passion is helping other women know where to turn when life brings every storm possible.

If you are hungry for the Word of God to make a practical difference in your daily life, this community is for you.

If you long for fellowship with other women who desire to take Scripture seriously, this is for you.

If you are looking for rest and rootedness amid the busyness of life, this is for you.

I am praying Ephesians 3:16-18 over us: “I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ.” (NIV)

With God’s Word as our source and supply, our spiritual roots become grounded in His love for us. He nourishes and strengthens our inner being with His truth. 

This is what allows us to know—to deeply know, way down in our subconscious!—how wide and deep is the love of Christ for us. Doesn’t that sound beautiful? God promises this to His children.

In my experience, people who are rooted in this knowledge radiate God’s light. They don’t create this radiance. Being rooted in His word is the life-giving “sap” to the inner person so the fruit of the Spirit radiates from them. Many times, they don’t even know how much they emanate joy and peace. They are like Moses in Exodus 34: “When Moses came down from Mount Sinai with the two tablets of the covenant law in his hands, he was not aware that his face was radiant because he had spoken with the Lord.” (NIV)

I don’t know about you, but I want to be the kind of person who radiates God’s life and light as a result of living in His presence through the Word and prayer.
