Live boldly
"Since the children have flesh and blood, he too shared in their humanity so that by his death he might break the power of him who holds the power of death—that is, the devil— and free those who all their lives were held in slavery by their fear of death." Hebrews 2:14-15 (NIV)
In Christ, we are called to live boldly—to refuse to let the enemy take ground in our lives.
I encourage you to spend some time in Acts 2. What changed for the disciples after Jesus' resurrection? They had followed Him closely, witnessed His miracles, and heard His teaching. But something shifted at Pentecost. The Holy Spirit came down and filled them with power. Cowards became courageous.
Acts 2 is not just history—it’s hope and power for believers.
The same Spirit that empowered them empowers us today. When the Holy Spirit fills us, He gives us the authority to move forward.
“Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.” Matthew 28:18 (NIV)
That means the enemy has no claim over our lives. We can step out in faith.
“You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world." 1 John 4:4 (NIV)
With the Holy Spirit, we are:
Empowered – We are given the right and the strength to live with confidence in a broken world. The enemy has no authority over any part of us or our lives. Jesus said all authority has been given to Him in heaven and on earth.
“You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world.” 1 John 4:4
Emboldened – We are no longer shrinking back in fear, but walking in faith.
Established in our identity – The Spirit confirms who we truly are.
I am a follower of Jesus Christ.
I am a Bible-believing, blood-bought child of God.
I pray with boldness and confidence.
I am the righteousness of God in Christ.
