God’s Workmanship

Pinterest you inspire and frustrate me! The ideas and possibilities are endless for any and every topic under the sun. There are so many creative and beautiful ways to achieve a look, master a hobby, expand your interests, and share your creations. For me, they rarely get any further than ideas. The do-it-yourself projects come out looking, well… like I tried but just didn’t quite get there! You may have had that experience too.

Here’s a really remarkable idea though. Listen to this word about us from Ephesians 2:10.

“For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.” (NKJV)

We are all God’s personal projects.

He picked us out and started His work in us. He knows what He wants each one of us to become and what steps are necessary to conform us to His image. He does not quit, discard, or get bored with His projects. He will not decide we are a disaster, a heap of junk, or throw us in the trash. God completes what He starts. He is a master at renewing, redeeming, and restoring lives.

We may be very poor raw material and be certain there is very little to work with. But God is patient, creative, and tenacious with the work of His hands. My hope and confidence rest in Him. My future is bright and my purpose is more than an idea or a project. As His workmanship, I’m going to walk in the good works He has fashioned for me.

Put your self in God’s creative hands and allow the Masters’ touch on your life to produce His workmanship. It’s going to be beautiful when He is finished. Put your marriage, children, family, business, and church, everything in your life in His hands.

Prayer: Thank you Lord for the hope I can have in you. “For I am confident in this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus.” I’m so grateful to be the work of your hands! Thank you. In Jesus name, I pray, Amen.
