The Lord looks at the heart
In the grandeur of King Nebuchadnezzar's court, there was an edict to find the most exceptional young men from Israel's royal family and nobility. The criteria were strict: they had to be physically flawless, handsome, well-versed in various fields of learning, informed, quick to understand, and suitable for service in the king's palace. They were to be groomed in the Babylonian way of life, from language to culture, and even their diet was to come from the king's own table. This was a three-year training program, after which they would serve the king.
The world values the outward appearance.
Attractiveness, intelligence, accomplishments, education, talent, and connections are prized qualities.
“Stop judging by mere appearances, but instead judge correctly.” John 7:24 (NIV)
True "beautiful people" are those whose hearts are turned toward God in humble surrender and adoration.
They recognize that their beauty, wisdom, and influence are not self-derived but are gifts from God. They honor and glorify Him, knowing that it's His work within them that makes them shine.
