Righteousness of God

“The enemy shall not outwit him, Nor the son of wickedness afflict him.” Psalm 89:22 (NKJV)

Good Friday should bring about the reflection of Jesus’s blood paying the debt of our sins.

We learn from the book of Job that righteousness and innocence do not produce a pain free life. Job was faithful to God and yet he lost everything.

Sin always ends with suffering but suffering does not always indicate sin.

Jesus lived a sin free life and was crucified for our sins because there was no other way for us to become the righteousness of God.

“God made Him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in Him we might become the righteousness of God.” 2 Corinthians 5:21 (NIV)

The way of the cross is hard. Following Jesus does not stop us from experiencing hardships.

However, in Him we have victory.
