Letting God speak through you

You never know what someone needs to hear. But God knows every thought in every heart and wants to speak personally, not only to you, but also through you.

You may be the mouthpiece. He wants to use today to encourage, support, affirm, correct, or train. Who knows? The Holy Spirit does.

Sitting quietly in His presence this morning I was gently interrupted with an impression from the Lord. He seemed to say, “I know what I gave you to share, remember to put “the words of your mouth, the meditations of your heart, into My hands.”

Several hours later I stood to speak. I opened my mouth & started to share. God gave the words, the thoughts, the Scripture, and the power. Raw, real, words from my heart poured out. They weren’t new words, but sliced and delivered uniquely for today.

The bread of life kneaded by God’s hand is always fresh and nourishing.

Hungry people, with heavy loads and broken hearts gathered to worship, pray, fellowship, encourage, and serve one another. God does not disappoint.

“You will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart.” Jeremiah 29:13 (NKJV)

He received worship offered in spirit and truth. He heard the effectual and fervent prayers. He picked up heavy loads and offered His easy yoke. He moved among us as the body of Christ lifted His name high and He served hope in visible, tangible ways.

Before today ends, we will all have multiple conversations and opportunities to speak to others. The stories we tell, the perspective we offer, the responses we give will be released into others’ lives.

I encourage you to stop and ask the Lord to help you in all your conversations and interactions.

“Be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to get angry.” James 1:19 (NIV)

“Set a guard, O Lord, over my mouth; Keep watch over the door of my lips.” Psalm 141:3 (NKJV)

Ask the Spirit to sort and sift the thoughts and intents of your heart.

“Out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks.” Matthew 12:34 (NIV)

God wants to speak life and love, hope and healing, and care and concern to you and through you. He wants to show you how to pray and empower the work of your hands and order your steps.

God’s equipping is more than enough for whomever and whatever He places in your path today.
