Preparing for Resurrection Sunday

Who are the people you draw close to you? What do you learn from them? Do they teach you more about Jesus because they walk and talk with Him in failure as well as victory?

Recently, I’ve been hanging out with Simon Peter.

I’m walking alongside him and trying to keep up with His enthusiasm and zealous sense of adventure. He challenges me to be more courageous and bold in my commitment to follow Jesus. He has also made me look deep within my own heart and ask some probing questions.

I want to invite you to join us in our journey toward the cross.

We are going to step into Peter’s personal experience in the final hours before the cross and check our own heart condition.

After all, Lent is very much about experiencing the WHY of the cross.

The next few weeks leading up to Easter, we are going to be following Peter and using his decisions to ask ourselves questions about where our hearts are. Check in every Friday from now to April 5 for a new devotional to prepare your heart for Easter

I want to challenge you to spend time this week in Matthew 26, Mark 14, Luke 22, John 18.

Pray and meditate as the Holy Spirit reveals truth to your heart.
