Generosity

It’s that time of year when I am making lists & checking twice.

I’ve been praying, seeking wisdom to discern the appointed places, at this specific time in history to be a participator. A unique opportunity is set before us to step up, get involved, and help ministries make an eternal difference.

Giving Tuesday, you’re almost here!

It’s a privilege to co-labor with non-profit organizations to increase their reach and infuse their influence with financial support.

Generosity is not about a bank balance. It’s a heart condition.

I’ve had some amazing examples in my life and I'm so thankful.

I'm sharing a few of the questions I pray through and ask myself as I deeply desire to cultivate a spirit of generosity.

-What are my personal passions and how do they align with God’s passions?

-What are my priorities? Temporal or Eternal?

-Will this gift be a part of pointing people toward Jesus? People are unquestionably His priority. He has thousands of ways to reach people with His light and life!

-Can I entrust this organization or ministry to steward my gift with integrity? Do your research. Godly generosity isn’t wasteful.

-Will I focus on how big the needs & how small my gift or how big God is?

Amounts are a stumbling block and pride causes us to withhold.

“The world of the generous grows larger and larger; the world of the stingy gets smaller and smaller.” Proverbs 11:24 (MSG)

I’ve witnessed both and I’m sure you have too. The most generous man I’ve ever known is Jesus. He died for me! But He still invited us to bring our inadequate resources and abilities and watch Him bless and multiply beyond what we could think or imagine!
